Well, my year so far seems to be coming together quite nicely. My contract has been extended yet again by a further 6 months, and so I've decided to try for my 2003 MCDBA ~sighs~ ... (as though I don't have anything else to do) ;p

VSS is looking promising with a new server on the way (YAY!) and a few projects in the pipeline. VERY eager to get my teeth into those. In Law this semester I get to study contracts and torts, so I'm definitely looking forward to that... AND I'm still (somehow) managing to hold a happy relationship together!!! :D

... xoxo - Thinking of you Katty :)

Received my uni results for my past semester today. Was a little bit uncertain as to how I'd go, as (you may have noticed) I had a fair bit on my plate the past 6 months with full time work, running my own business and trying to keep my head above water with regards to my academics.

To my surprise though I found myself only 3% off a High Distinction. Dammit. So close and yet so far. Still, I can't complain. I'll have more opportunities next semester to bring in those 7's again ;)

Incredible how someone can be in your life for so many years and in one moment your relationship with that person can change. I'd like to introduce to the world, my Katrin: Intelligent (doing a PhD in Psychology of all things - ironic in its own special way), beautiful, well balanced, socially functional, well humoured, light hearted and just all round perfect really ~sighs~

I'd put a picture up of her, but I'm too selfish to share just yet :P

Tonight I had my 10yr High School Reunion. So many familiar faces and so many names I actually managed to remember. I made a point to bring along a little book and a pen to get all the details of friends I've fallen out of contact with.

Now all I need is the time to catch up with them all. That said, if you're reading this now and want to get back in contact with me, send me a short message through my online form and I promise to get back to you soon!

There's a lot to be said for never burning one's bridges... Today I resume working with the same company (and the same group of guys) who initiated my transition from uni into the workforce as a graduate back in 2000. VERY excited about working with this great group of guys (and gal's now I hear) again.

My new favourite quote::
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cigar in one hand, favourite beverage in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOW - What a ride!"

With exams over, I have officially completed my first semester of Law!!! *stares at computer screen as though expecting some sort of reward or praise or something...* ... Well, if nothing more, the past few months have definitely helped me put a few things into perspective - particularly on the subject of time management without any =D

Where is he going with this? Well, while managing one's own business does definitely have it's perks (and an experience I would highly recommend to anyone to delve into at least once in their lives), I believe it may be time now, to re-enter the work force... *tentatively turns the page to a new chapter of his life...*

Well, things definitely aren't dull over this end of the world. Juggling time between my business and 15+ case readings per week (not all 90 odd pages each, thank God) is proving to be a little more... fun... than I think I had initially anticipated. (Perhaps I should have taken up a sport instead - hehe). Have enrolled in a speed reading course which should hopefully make this a little more managable next semester :)

March 1st, 2004

Well, I'm official back at uni again... Something of a surprise even to myself as I originally thought I would have another couple weeks to help push that personal project (mentioned, in no amount of detail below) over the line (d'oh). That said, I guess one can't rush perfection. Given the expected work load however, even part-time, for law... I'll most likely not have much time to work on it until the uni mid-semester break.

January 5th, 2004

After a wonderfully relaxing Christmas and New Year's break spent with my family (and away from my laptop, outside and in real sun light), I have decided to undertake a new personal web project today. That's all I'm going to say on this for now though. I need to do some more research into proof of concept, then hopefully have a working prototype of the system available in about 3 weeks.

Should be interesting.

Well, it took me a little longer than expected but I finally managed to complete my CV for the site. Access is restricted, so you will have to contact me first and I'll send you a username and password.

Well, I've just finished development of my new home page. I had a little time on my hands so I thought I'd play with a little JavaScript and DHTML and see what I could come up with. The slide effect worked out much better than I'd hoped. Obviously, I'm not a graphics designer so (hehe)... only two images were harmed in the making of this website ;p
